Juho Laitinen is a cellist and composer who studied at the conservatory of Turku, Finland, the Royal College of Music in London and as a Fulbright Scholar at the Mannes School of Music in New York City. As a soloist and chamber musician, Laitinen has performed in Finland, Sweden, Great Britain, Italy, Czech Republic and the USA. Laitinen is an active exponent of new and experimental music. He has performed with John Zorn, Elliott Sharp and Thomas Buckner and works with composers including Christian Wolff, Alvin Lucier and Phill Niblock.
Juho has played Haydn with Czech Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, bossa nova with Rosalia de Souza and Conduction® with Butch Morris. Currently he is studying in the doctoral program at Sibelius Academy in Helsinki.
